Notice: Roland has installed the Mc Connell memorial in March. He did a tremendous job with two flag poles, plaques and two huge sitting stones with flowers and nice landscaping. Well done! It does not get any better than this place.

In little or no wind, runway 13 is slightly uphill and an easier stop. The first 2 or 300 ft. of runway 31 is level, then the rest is slightly downhill. I regularly fly a Piper Apache into the field and stop slightly beyond midfield with little braking. Be at the short field landing speed and flare soon after the the numbers and you will have no problem. Some who are used to flying into 4 or 5000 ft. runways, are sometimes fast, and flare 1/3 down the runway-----that would be 1500-2000 ft. on many long runways. At 5NC3, most of the runway is behind you if you use this technique. Just go around and watch you airspeed on final with your next attempt.

Everyone.

The right hand traffic pattern for runway 13 has been changed back to left hand. Sorry for the confusion.
