Good story! And good pics of the G1000 too! I've not yet had the opportunity to fly a G1000 with SVT yet, but I'm looking forward to being able to soon. I have flown in a few RV's equipped with EFIS's from Blue Mountain Avionics & Grand Rapids that had synthetic vision and am a big believer in the technology. Those companies (Blue Mountain & Grand Rapids) both did an excellent job with their respective synthetic vision systems, especially for the price, but from what I've seen they don't really compare to what's available from Garmin. I can only imagine what it would be like with that big 10" screen!

At this point I'm just waiting to see what Avidyne's new Entegra Release 9 system with SVT is going to look like.
